Samsung will support the massive craze for non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in an unusual format. As part of the CES 2022 conference, the IT giant announced the integration of the first “NFT aggregator” into its TVs. Samsung’s new models will tell their owners about how NFTs work, help purchase tokens and temporarily turn OLED panels into art galleries.

The new platform will allow NFT-powered content creators to share their work via a social media analogue and put it up for sale. At the same time, other users will learn more about new works, buy them and share their assets with friends and family. In this process, Samsung places particular emphasis on “original experiences”.

This year, Samsung TVs will receive a “smart calibration” feature. The system will automatically adjust the display parameters following the preset values ​​- the visual series with NFT images will be indistinguishable from the original. Similarly, Samsung smart TVs already handle multimedia content in Dolby Vision and Netflix Calibrated Mode.

As for gaming, the new models will include the Samsung Gaming Hub based on Tizen OS – an application that will collect all available gaming services in one place. The current version supports launching games from Nvidia GeForce Now, Google Stadia, and Utomik. In the future, this list will expand, the company said. Through this hub, Samsung TV owners will be able to view available projects, search and buy games, and instantly play any of them on their TV screens.

TVs from 2022 will also support the new HDR10 + Gaming standard – the response speed will increase even more, and the variable screen refresh rate promises incredibly smooth images even in difficult action scenes. The standard also provides for automatic calibration that will adapt to the connected consoles and PCs.

The first Samsung models with NFT and cloud gaming support will go on sale in the first quarter of this year.
